Cortana is the highly advanced AI (artificial intelligence) for the Pillar of Autumn. Her design allows her to fit inside a properly altered Battle Suit, as the gist of what you get from Cortana is a voice inside your helmet, giving you directions and being the brains to your brawn. She is also very effective at tapping into systems and giving you this information to use to your advantage over your foes.
